What degree choices are available?
Whilst the majority of our students who want to apply for art and design degree courses start through undertaking an art and design foundation diploma. There are options to apply straight to an art and design degree. You can do this if your art and design personal statement and portfolio and is of a high enough standard.
Our art and design specialists can help you decide which route is right for you. They will work with you to review your art and design personal statement and portfolio. Which will allow them to identify the most appropriate route and degree course.
As part of your application to study art and design, you will be expected to submit a diverse portfolio of your art and design work. Submitting a successful art portfolio requires specialist advice. This is key to ensure you both display the diversity of your work, and that it is presented in the correct format. This is particularly important for international students who are required to submit a digital art portfolio.
Securing your art and design place

Some of our students will apply for both art foundation diploma courses and degrees. We can support you with both options. If you decide to undertake an art and design foundation diploma, you should consider your longer-term progression on to an art and design degree course.
